Smooth It. Contour It. Lift It.
What are JUVÉDERM® injectable Gel Fillers?
Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a naturally occurring substance that delivers volume and fullness to the skin. JUVÉDERM® is a long- lasting, non-surgical option that contains a modified form of HA. Fillers that include HA are a top choice for patients- over 90% of filler patients receive a HA dermal filler.
Hyaluronic acid injections fill the space between collagen and elastin fibers within the skin, which replenishes the natural volume lost with aging. Hyaluronic acid also attracts and binds water, which helps maintain fullness where it’s injected. Some hyaluronic acid materials are thicker and can add significant volume and structure. Others are smoother and thinner and have the ability to flow more consistently.
How do I know I am a candidate for JUVÉDERM® filler?
JUVÉDERM® family of fillers are recommended for following conditions-
At the time of consultation, your doctor will discuss your goals, medical history, the areas you want treated, and what results you can expect. Injections are not appropriate for certain lines and scars. Certain medical conditions also make them inappropriate.
What do I expect during the treatment?
Because Juvederm filler injection is a simple, nonsurgical wrinkle treatment, there is minimal recovery or downtime. Your provider will use topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area first. After you are adequately numb, your healthcare professional will ease the JUVÉDERM® filler under your skin to augment your face or fill wrinkles and folds. Following the injection, your healthcare professional may gently massage the treated area. The procedure is quick and easy and usually takes less than 30 minutes.
Are there any reasons why I should not receive any JUVÉDERM® injectable gel formulation?
